Plan ahead, place your bets and and get out & enjoy the weekend!

It is a jam packed weekend , but before we get to those events, I have a few that you need to put on the calendar. These top 3 events for the next few weeks hold a close place in my heart due to the dear folks involved in the execution. Thanks for taking my word for it, and supporting their hard work and the charities efforts. These festivities are not just fun parties or places to be and be seen, but also play a major role in the funds raised to support the programs and awareness of said cause.

Behind each great event, there is a worthy cause. ~ Cyndy Tandy

Friday August 7:  Friday Night Live @ St. Joe’s
Saturday August 8: 160th St. Joe’s Picnic

Follow up on the Friday & Saturday, August 7 & 8,  with the annual St. Joe’s Picnic!
Here is a wee bit about where your money goes when you support St. Joseph’s;

The Louisville cholera epidemic of 1832 took many lives and left many children as orphans. During that time, a handful of German Catholics, recognizing the grave need to care for these children, formed the St. Joseph Catholic Orphan Society, in 1849. Today’s dependent child is no longer a victim of epidemic or war, but of family crisis, financial difficulty or an abusive, neglectful environment. In response to changing societal conditions, St. Joseph has evolved from an orphanage to that of a more diversified child caring facility. We understand the challenges families face. Values change, families are uprooted and disrupted; unexpected events overwhelm them. Our programs are designed to help families in need of quality child care.

Please help me in our dedication & support of  good friend John Straub, his team , staff and all the volunteers at St. Joe’s and their effort to help kids become kids again after devastating circumstances leave them helpless.
Friday Night Live August 7  from 5-10pm
Join us on the St. Joe’s Lawn  for Music by the Epics & Midlife Crisis
Beer , Brats & a few Game booths will be open for your enjoyment!
The Alumni Association is making a call to action: If you or someone you know has been served by St. Joe’s, please contact the Home @ 502.893.0241 for their efforts to Reunite past St. Joe’s kids.

Saturday August 8 Marks the PICNIC of all picnics!
6000 Chicken Dinners, 65 games booths and a capital prize chances to win one of 3 cars!
See everyone on the St. Joe’s Campus starting @ 11am!
